Can intentional communities balance connection and individuality to counter solitude? Is there a way to foster meaningful living without falling into the extremes of isolation or groupthink?
Something I’ve been curious about is the legal, financial, and governance elements of successful intentional communities. In many of these ICs, it seems that there’s a cultural and social contract, but that doesn’t scale or endure as households come and go and inevitably change over time. What happens when shit hits the fan (like a natural disaster) or when interpersonal dynamics create conflict (one resident household goes through a divorce). Would be fascinating to see some kind of templates and learn how others do it.
